Coming to you each and every Wednesday!
Here's how it works:

Leave comments at each stop of the hop and tell them what you think about their project! The more comments you make, the more entries you will have to win a great prize from Bombshell Stamps at the end of the month!

This week we all pulled out our pencils
Remember those...set aside for all those cool markers???
I used the Butterfly Queen Bombshell Stamp
The background is made with a CuttleBug embossing folder.
I forgot how fun pencils are and how well they blend.  I even pulled out my stump!

Thank you for looking!
Please leave a comment and then continue with the blog hop!!

Thanks Martha !

for the great lantern idea.  Yes, Martha Stewart !
I was given this as a gift and I have really enjoyed reading the magazine.
This month she made the coolest lanterns for Halloween.

I am making some mini ones for our dining room, but thought they could be used some othe ways also, so here's my take.

I used Bombshell Stamps Butterfly Queen Stamp.  I used an assortement of markers to color on the vellum panels.  I attached gold grommets at the top and used black quilting thread for the hanger.

Inspiration can come from anywhere......even Junk Mail !!

You know that question...where do you get your inspiration?
I always answer "from everything around me" and it's true.

Well a couple of weeks ago we got a piece of mail and I knew it meant a cool new Bombshell card.

Here is the mail

And here is my card

It is going to make the perfect b-day card for a friend of mine.
The stamp is of course from Bombshell Stamps.
The feathers are colored with marker to match the ad.  Her fishnets are drawn on.  She also has a cigar in her hand to match the Vegas Showgirl above.
It's hard to see in the small picture, but she even has the jewels on the side of her costume to match.  Check back for more Showgirls in the future, this was too fun!

This week….put on your sunglasses….we are bringing out the BLING!
"Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend"
I decided that even though it was "Bling Week",
I wanted it to be appropriate even for a manly man.
So, I went for some “blue bling” on my card this week.

Her skirt is colored with Glitter Gems pen (Blue Zircon)
and the waist band is mini blue rhinestones.
There are blue star sequins on her top and larger ones on the bottom of the card.
I used a Martha Stewart lacy doily edge punch on the light blue cardstock.
So now.....add your comment and then hop on over to the other Bombshell DT Member blogs, and don't forget to join us again next week!

Oh yes....Feeling Exotic!!

Well, I was last week, so I made the Butterfly Queen into a belly-dancer.

I used Basic Grey Marrakesh (well a piece left over from another project) and some olive green cardstock. All the paper is edged with Deco Color liquid gold marker.

The train/veil is gold vellum. I stamped and cut it out and added it to the back.
The gold dots down the side are the same Gold Vellum punched with my Crop-a-dile. I also used the Deco Color gold to do all th jewelry and accents.

I would love to see what exotic women you can come up with

Altered Book Swap

Posted by kasmello at 05:01 PM on July 04, 2009 delete
Well, here it is! My page for the altered book swap.

It's for the 10th anniversary of the yahoo group. Its finished size (not including binding area) is 3 x 6. The base page is from a book of Russian poetry and short stories. It is a Russian "Romeo & Juliet" style story. The underlined words in Russian are "Love". Let me know what you think.

Good Morning!

Looks like everything is just about moved over now.  So here begins the new posts.  Check back later this for some new Bombshell Stamps "stuff"

and a cute card made with MyGraphico digital stamps!

.

This week we each have our own -thang- goin on!!

.

.

For this first week, I wanted to send out a little ?WooHoo?

 to the other DT members.

With this little Congratulations on Your Accomplishment card !!

Miss Bombshell is wearing a lovely full length evening gown made from DCWV metallic cardstock.

Her shoes are black with a hint of silver glamour.

She sends big hugs and kisses to everyone!

The key to dressing these bombshells are the arms.

To make it easier it helps if she has a sleeve,

spaghetti strap or in this case, a sash.

You can use the arms from the final stamp or a second stamp.

Directions:

Start with a stamped image.

I would also color her skin first. It is easier to work with a larger piece.

Remove the arm at different spots depending

on how she will be dressed.

You may only need to replace the hands, like in this example.

.

Its easiest to design the clothes with tracing paper or vellum. You could even use a transparency so that it would be easier to reuse. This part is up to you, what do you want her to look like??

Also, keep those mis-stamped images for

*body parts*  lets not waste girls!!

So now.....add your comment and then hop on over to the other Bombshell DT Member blogs,

and don't forget to join us again next week!

Cards for a Cause 9-15-09

Please visit the link below to hear about a special need for a special girl.

READ HERE

Here is mine.....  I just made this and think it would be very fitting for a teenage girl.

I Feel Pretty...Oh so Pretty.... 9-12-09

Ok, I felt like being in a pretty mood today.

So I made a pretty card.

Bombshell Stamps have the coolest stamps....

but they can also be used to make your world pretty too!

This project uses the Butterfly Queen stamp set.

It is also all scraps (doin' the Green thing)

The butterflies and flowers were stamped on vellum.

It is hard to see in the picture, but it has a cool muted look in person.

Try it sometime.  Just remember to use an ink that won't bleed or smear.

Do a test first.  I set mine with a heat gun before coloring just to be safe,

and I like using the heat gun!

Blog Hop Update 9-10-09

I hope everyone got to all the blogs on our bloghop yesterday!!

Thanks for the wonderful comments.

This week all of our projects are based on Ms. September's Challenge.

Ms September is Sarah K. Her challenge is to make a project inspired by a movie.

Her blog is  HERE

.

Here's what I came up with:

.

My movie inspiration was the Tales of Rat Fink. A cool movie about Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.

The colors used in a lot of his art were red, green and purple.

There were flaming eyeballs and flames everywhere.

.

I am purchasing a copy of it for my dad's birthday, and thought this card would work perfectly!

Now that you've seen my take on the challenge, add your comment and then hop on over to the other Bombshell DT Member blogs, and don't forget to join us again next week!

Their blogs are listed right there on the side ========  >

Be sure to stop by next Wednesday (or before then) and I will have up a great

project and tutorial...Its ready....and it's CUTE!!
