Woo Hoo Bombshell Humpday Hop - Altered Style !!

Welcome!
At Bombshell Stamps we have a few different challenges going on,
so stop and check them out!
HERE

There is a great Sketch Challenge
and a Valentine's Day Challenge
and today we are doing our
Altered Item Hop

There are so many great blogs for you to check out.

My items is a Valentine's Day inspired altered item.
I started with a Whitman's sampler box. (chocolate....Valentine's Day....)

I removed the paper around the whole box, so that the new paper would adhere.
I covered it with Heidi Grace/Fiskars paper that I picked up at Big Lots.
The paper was $1 for each pack of 15 sheets.
What a deal!  The polka dot paper is flocked and shimmery.
The flowered paper is shimmered and foiled.

The lace is some vintage lace I already had and the buttons were removed from an old shirt.
The leaves are from a fall garland purchased last year.
I used beige Prima flowers with brass snap eyelets in the center.
I added a wedding ribbon and string of pearls near the bottom.

The green rectangle strip was made using the Martha Stewart doily punch along both sides.
The large green scalloped circle was made using a Paper Shapers punch.

The large stamps is from the Bombshell stamps set 'Til Death
The sentiment at the bottom is also from that set.
They are edged with Tim Holtz distressing ink around the edges.
The bird and banner are colored with Copic markers and colored pencils.

I had a lot of fun making this and I am reminded that Bombshell Stamps can be so versatile.

OK, enough of mine....go check out all the other great altered items.
Oh, I forgot.....there are even prizes available, in addition to all the great mojo you are going to get!

Asian Inspiration

This is my answer to the challenge on Miss Maggo's Blog

It uses of course a Bombshell Stamp.
Her dress is made from Joss Paper.
The three Prima flowers have painted brads to match the picture that is at top.
I think that pin-ups and Asian designs go well together.
In fact stop back in a couple of days to check out another project with a similar feel!

Now.....YOU go try something and post it, with a link back here and to Miss Magoo's!!

Bombshell Stamps - Jewelry

This has nothing really to do with the BlogHop or any specific challenges, but I wanted to show you a cool thing that you can do with your Bombshell stamps.

Hope you like them!

In Preparation for the Altered Item BlogHop...

I did some practicing.  I have recently gathered up some jars to put all my flowers and ribbons in.  This one seemed perfect for altering.....

So, I cleaned it really well inside and out.  Then using Stazon ink, I stamped some butterflies from the Bombshell Stamp set "Butterfly Queen"

I let that dry and then I started coloring it with Sharpies.

I think this would also make a beautiful candle holder.  I love Stazon (I even like the bizarre smell of it!)
Yes, I know I am weird!

Bombshell Stamps - January Challenge

The challenge from Ms. January was to put on our Valentine's thinking caps....  so that is what I did.
It is combined with a new posting I will be doing this year.  I was going to name it something cool and intriguing, but honesty is the best policy

So look forward to ....OK, so I'm Cheap (more on this later)
This week my fun (yes and cheap) find are these cards....$1 for 8 cards with envelopes!!!  Can't beat that!
Target Dollar Bins.  I wasn't looking for them, but there they were.

The stamps is colored with a mix of different pens and pencils.  The gray on the skull was pencil with a Prismacolor blender pen to soften the edges.  The "Diamond" is colored with a white Sakura Glaze Pen.
I will be using a lot of "stuff" I have around in these projects adding only "cheap" finds.

We are all watching our pennies this year, but that doesn't mean that we crafty chicks can't still have fun!!
No Bombshell would stand for that.....
Hope you like it.  If you do, scroll down and check out the retrospective look at the last few months of Bombshell projects.  It was the New Year, looking back....

Check out the Blog Candy on Taylord Concepts!!

OH MY!!  Ms. December Bombshell is having her one year "Blogoversary"
Besides blog candy...she's got tons of Eye Candy on her site.  Scroll down and check it out!
