Bombshell - Gauche Alchemy Blog Hop "Some Like it Hot, Hot, Hot"

This is going to be an amazing hop, glad you are joining us.
You get to see some work by not only the usual
Bombshell Stamps group,
but also from the Gauche Alchemy DT.
If you find any broken links in the hop, just come back here and pick up the next one.
***Also don't forget...there are prizes from Bombshell Stamps and
Gauche Alchemy and all you need to do is leave some love along the hop!

Because we had an even more diverse group,
we had even more "wiggle" room on this month's hop.

The title of this hop is insprited by the movie
"Some like it Hot" and the song "Hot, Hot, Hot"
and our blazing hot summer!

So I suggested:
Summer themes
Flames on the Hot Rod stamps
…and of course Summer colors

I also suggested that if you have Gauche Alchemy kits...
try Banana Hammock, Lady Marmalade
 or Scarlett Red Fever.

I decided I had enough heat and used the movie
"Some Like it Hot" for my piece.
Marilyn Monroe.... of course a Bombshell.

I wanted my Bombshell to look almost like
a comic book character,
so I didn't color her in this time.
The clothes were cut on a Cricut using the SCAL program
and the files from Bombshell Stamps.

The embellishments are all from Gauche Alchemy kits.
The ribbon and sewing pattern were used to wrap up some items
I received from them.
The other items came from the following kits:
Blue Slush
It's All Gravy and
Purple People eater
(the white ticket had purple ribbon around it)

Train picture - internet
Stamps:Bombshell Stamps (Bombshell Angel)
Clear & Simple Stamps Traveller set (Wish You Were Here).
Adhesive: Beacon adhesive.
Chalk & Ink: Ranger distressing ink (antique linen)
                     Colorbox Fluid Chalk (Prussian Blue)

Okay you have a lot of hopping to do,
so you had better get movin'.

Packing tape transfer

Did you see the coolr packing tape transfer pieces over at the Gauche Alchemy blog??

BUT....Did you know that you can use color xeroxes as well??

Here is a tag I made using the same technique but with a color xerox.  I also used plenty of Gauche Alchemy products too!!!  Something from each color kit and the Wholly Sheets.

Updates on Groups, Hops, etc...

We all have some UGLY paper, or paper that we just aren't as happy with as when we bought it.
Here's your chance to use it.  Go over to the Better Living Through Scrapbooking blog.
There are some great prompts for this week's challenge. The design team reveal is up, so check it out HERE

Also....
Wednesday is a combined bloghop with Bombshell Stamps and Gauche Alchemy.  There are a lot of people participating so it should be a LOT of fun.

OK revisting projects as I clean today....

Most of these projects are old, but fun never the less!
No reason for this blog, just sorting through pics and projects.

The first is just an altered clipboard I made for my
Clothing Designer daughter.
I added clips at the bottom for ribbons, drawings, etc..

The name of this project is "How do U measure time".
The pics and rock are from a great hike we went on.
It is hard to see but the pictures are staggered out inside the cigar box.
Sometimes you just have to take the day off and go!
This wine bottle made a great display for a fun picture from Italy.

Have any of those ordinary glass vases hanging around?

Glue Arts posted a great Summer Canvas Project today...

Check it out HERE

So I thought I would share a canvas project from our vacation last summer.
We had fun watching the planes with signs trailing behind, so I added that for my title.
I painted the background, added shells and sand from the beach.
I cut the girls from a picture we too while we were there with the wind blowing.
The cute little fence reminded me of the one outside the hotel.
I of course used Glue arts to add my embellishments!

Bombshell August Sketch Challenge..

Once again, Kathi has a great sketch up over at Bombshell Stamps.
I made a card for the August Sketch Challenge...

I love my Lady Luck set.
The embellishments on the side are poker chips that I stamped with Staz-on Ink.
The paper on the other side is a vintage game scorepad.
Lady Luck is colored with Copic Markers.

CHA Mini -Album in progress....

I wanted to get my mini-album done as soon as I got home.
I ONLY used products that I got there.
(exception ink and one pin)
Inspired by Angela Pruitt and Candy Ford.
They made mini-albums for the Paper Bag Company while we were AT CHA
and I thought it was a great idea.
I LOVE making mini-albums of vacations or fun events.

I have one more page to do and some tweeking on a few others but was excited to put it up....

I will be posting more pictures this week!!

I also was fortunate enough to present a number of companies
with information about Let There Be Mom,
in hopes of procuring some supplies for the scrapbooks we make.
So many companies were receptive and when as I receive
confirmations from them, I will let you know.

I came home with a sampler of My Mind's Eye
"Blackbird" Halloween collection
and their I Believe collection.  (Thanks!!)

I also came home with a whole box of supplies from
 They provided us with papers,
and some embellishments.
By the way....LOVE Powder Puffs!!

I am going to post a couple of the pages
made with these papers later today,
but just wanted to start my thank you posts!
