It was a good day.

The weather was spring like.  I got some great things out doing a thrift store hop, and found the Mod Podge badge to add to my page.  I am going to have fun looking at all my finds this evening, gettin some MOJO !
Oh....we are making smores tonight...outside!  I say that's about as good an end to a day as you can get!

Here are a couple of Challenges I have done this week....

First off, for Bombshell Stamps I used this card for a sketch and a color challenge
(using pastels for spring)...
The papers are SEI and the Stamps are from the Bombshell Stamps "Butterfly Queen"
I stamped the butterflies on vellum.

Altered Book - Bombshell Style

Well those of you that know me in "Stamp-land" may not know that I love making altered books!!
So when the Bombshell Challenge by Ms. March was put up.....I was so excited!

The Challenge is called "Booty Log"
and you need to make some sort of altered book, journal, etc..

I decided that I needed a way to catalog my Bombshell Stamps....so I made an altered book catalog.

It is not done, but I wanted to share what I have done so far!!  Keep in mind the pages need a lot more coloring,
embellishments and work!

I started with a great book from the 1920s that had seen better days.
First step.... reinforce the sad spine (it is kind of like mine...hahaha)
Then I glued the pages together and painted the pages white.
One thing I like to do is look for words on the text that fit with what I am doing and make sure not to paint over them.  This book happened to work well!  I also left the pages with pictures.
The book was made into a movie in the 20s, and there are pictures from it.

I am waiting for the Bombshell Angel stamps set, and I will stamp the cover with the word "Bombshell" from that set.  It will read " Secrets of a Bombshell Addict "

So, here are some preliminary pics!!

Bombshell Hump Day Hop - Mama Said Knock You Out !!!

Mama Said Knock You Out!

No physical violence here, just time to dust off your PUNCHES and use your NESTIES (QuicKutz, Sizzix, Big Shot etc.) to create your next Bombshell Masterpiece! We all have some fun punches and cutting shapes lying around, so why not use these valuable items and get our money's worth? All you have to do, is make sure something on your card has been punched or die cut....extra credit if there's a hole in your card. *giggle Don't make Mama mad....just start knockin' things out. *wink

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
All participants, hoppers and hopee's are eligible to win the prize below:

My project also goes with our Wet N Wild Challenge - Check it out on the forum!

Well I didn’t make a card, but I used my Paper Shapers 3” punch to make the “label” on my
“Manly Bath Salts” (which my daughter says just doesn’t sound right....)

The paper is by K&C Company from an old stash of paper. I used the Sailor Girl set.

I added some seashells, and metal starfish. Inside the jar is Epsom salts.
I left them white (so they would look, more manly)
The punch is edged with Color Box liquid chalk in Lime Pastel and then Chestnut Roan and Dark Brown.
Hope you like it.  Now get hoppin'  !!!!

Dress your Bombshell

Here is a tutorial from 2009, that I thought might be useful!  Dress your Bombshell!

Miss Bombshell is wearing a lovely full length evening gown made from DCWV metallic cardstock.
Her shoes are black with a hint of silver glamour.
She sends big hugs and kisses to everyone!
The key to dressing these bombshells are the arms.
To make it easier it helps if she has a sleeve,
spaghetti strap or in this case, a sash.

You can use the arms from the final stamp or a second stamp.

Directions:
Start with a stamped image.

I would also color her skin first. It is easier to work with a larger piece.

Remove the arm at different spots depending
on how she will be dressed.
You may only need to replace the hands, like in this example.
Its easiest to design the clothes with tracing paper or vellum. You could even use a transparency so that it would be easier to reuse. This part is up to you, what do you want her to look like??

Also, keep those mis-stamped images for
*body parts* lets not waste girls!!
