The new phone books are here...the new phone books are here....

Anyone remember that from "The Jerk" ? 

Well it was like that for me today! 

I got my copy of the Altered Book 10 Year Anniversary Book! 

There are over 180 of us that submitted pages for this and it is beautiful! 

So many fantastic artists.  Truly inspiring. 

I will post a picture later today when I get the pics off my camera,

but I was just too excited and had to share this!

Wednesday Bombshell Hop!!

Short post....cause it's my b-day and I am relaxing and watching Sons of Anarchy!!

But here you go...Buttons.  Well paper buttons!  I didn't find the buttons I was looking for...then I found some paper circles that matched the parrot frame.  Heck I have a crop-a-dile, I can punch holes!

What an incredible organization!  I love being a part of this group.
With the holidays here, I hope it reminds everyone to be thankful for the job
that these men and women do, and the sacrifices that they make.
Also keep in mind that these people have friends and family at home that
have birthdays, anniversaries, etc... just like the rest of us.
These brave men and women are not stationed near a Hallmark!
The opportunity to send home a birthday card to a child they love, just isn't there!
So if you make cards....send them some  !!
If you don't....consider sending a donation to help with shipping the cards to these men and women.
They can send the cards home for free to their loved ones,
but it costs money to get the cards to them!

It is so easy to add embellishments and layers to jazz up our crafts!
But strip it down.....no puns intended, and you have to Work it girls!

Here is what we had....

"Single Ladies!" Nope, not Beyonce style...I mean layers.

You've got it, this week's challenge is to make a card using only the card base; one single layer. Use stencils, airbrush, drawings and the like; add anything else that tickles your fancy, except more paper. Why should layers have all the fun? I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

After you look at mine, stop by the other blogs this week and look at the great stuff they came up with!

ALSO...Take a look at some of their other stuff...not just this week's hop.
