I love making cards for Operation Write Home. These brave men and women are risking their lives and are kept from their loved ones for long periods of time. We all know how nice it is to get a card in the mail once in awhile. Think of how wonderful it would receiving a card from a loved one who is serving overseas. It is something completely unexpected and might be "just the thing:"
Here is a little "Any Hero" card I made. They are for servicemen/women that maybe just haven't gotten mail for awhile, or that need a little boost. I made it for the Scrappers Delight DT. The image is from Jessica Lynn Original
I will be sending some nice "commenter" some Blog Candy just for leaving me a note! It is an assortment of papers, ribbons and stickers. If you do not currently participate in some way with OWH, I hope that you will consider doing so in the future!

ReplyDeleteI find the Hero cards the hardest to make. I want them to be special and I have so few stamps set that are good for making them. I have been collecting a few.

Great cards! And as a military wife I must say thank you for helping OWH keep families together in heart despite being apart because of duty.
